A new study has found that women who drink four or more cups of coffee a day are at reduced risk of endometrial cancer. The large study followed 67,470 women ages 34 to 59 from 1980 to 2006 and monitored dietary details, lifestyle information and medical history. This recent study was published by the Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. Neither decaffeinated coffee nor tea drinking was associated with a risk reduction, and the authors drew no conclusions about whether caffeine or some other ingredient in coffee causes the effect. What was lower risk associated by drinking coffee? Those who drank four or more cups had a 25 percent lower risk of endometrial cancer. Sounds like an impressive percent.
